| Steps Used: (1) Made selection of the baseball player & saved to alpha channel. (2) Loaded player from alpha channel and promoted to layer (3) On background layer adjusted color levels to give a faded look (4) Duplicated baseball player (promoted) layer & applied a motion blur at 120 & effect of 40 - erased areas not needed (5) Created upper text with multiply as blend mode, erased red from players head/cap. | Using a Backdrop (Sorta?) |
| I'm not sure what I was thinking when I started out with using the coral reef and the hands in one image but I do like the effect it created, reminds me of the 60's to tell you the truth - here are the steps used: (1) Per lighting tutorial in week 1, I created a backdrop (lower portion of the image - sorta hard to see but it's there) (2) Selected the black background of the hands image, copied & pasted the hands on to corel reef image (3) Duplicated the hands image & on both layers used a blend mode of difference (4) Used the deformation tool on the hands |
| Making an image stand out using light |
